About the Workshops

It will be single workshops, that I can spend intensive time with you and teach you how to spin and more.
You don't need to have your own wheel, everything will be provided from me including drinks and food.
The Workshop will run on a Friday afternoon from 1.00pm till 5.00 pm, at my Home in Worcester.
I will show you main techniques to spin and design and create your own wool.
If you want to use your own spinning wheel, that's fine.
Feel free to e-mail me for further Questions and details to arrange a Day. Klick into my profile, there is the the e-mail link of mine.
Blessings Susanne

The flyer system is the same as on all Kromski wheels.

Josefine Shawl

I've dyed the fleece first than spun it, for plying I used Merino Natural, the combination of a coloured and a natural fibre makes a lovely Wool.
You start with 3 stitches than you decrease till it is big enough, very easy to knight.

Dyed Hanks

Sometimes I have to dye, I use Ahsford Dyes, for a good result.

Than I decide what i can make out of it, see the Wool and Sample of Knitting from the middel Hank, looks nice.

Flachs Linen

That's Irish Flachs or Linnen.
It's a bit tricky to spin. But when you know how, that's easy than.
The yarn is 2 time plyed.

My green Cardigan

here you can see the Cardigan I working on.
It's a Merino Fleece already dyed,I chosse the green to match the existing wool I bought.
It's a single spun Yarn, big one, that't easy to spin and its faster in time, because you need a lot for a Cardigan.
A single spun Yarn needs a special treatment, for the Hanks. I still have to make the Arms.

Felted Slippers

I've dyed the gotland fleece upfront, spun a single yarn and knitted the slippers, than I felted them in the washing machine.

Felted Handbag

That's one of my felted Handbags.
Merino Fleece and Shetland Fleece.
You see the finished wool, 2 times plyed and how it looks one the bobbin, also the original fleece colour's.
Than I knitted the Bag and felted it with the Handles in the washing machine.made 3 flowers and beaded them inside, different hey.

Moonlight Shawl

The finshed plyed wool

the wool on the bobbin
the pink one for the semi circle

Detaile of the semi circle
Endresult

Here you can see the making of my Moonlight Shawl.
Merino Fleece in red orange and pink, for the Semi Circle you need only the Pink.
The Wool is 2 times plyed, it's lovely and warm for cold evenings

Easy Hat

Merino wool , navajoplyed, 100 gramm's

I made a hat for my loved daughter.

Spinning 2 hour's and knitted in a evening

Alpaca Mohaire Mix

That's the Endresult of plying one bobbin with alapca and the other one of mohaire wool, it's 2 time plyed and it looks great, a very eclusive wool.
Both are natural Colour's. Alapca comes in different shades.

Here you can see a fnished bobbin with the alapka wool, i have spun it straight from the fleece, the fleece wasn't washed it had the right amount of fat in it to make spinning easy.

Scottish Wool

I always knit a sample, to make sure about the sizes for later knitting.
This will be a Cardigan for my Partner .

Hanks, 3 times plyed, for a cardigan you need strong wool, therefor I plyed it 3 times.

Here You can see the making of, from the fleece to the knitted sample.
I like the natural Colour.

Bamboo

2 Hanks of Bamboo
2 times plyed
great finish , very soft and so shiny.
I don't know if i will dye it or not, i like the look of it so much

Spinning the Bamboo fibres , it needs a bit of experience before you can start to spin bamboo.

What u can do in a afternoon
